Hi there! I'm Kamya, a UX / UI Designer.
I'm a foodie, travel enthusiast, and a UX /UI designer. I am passionate about designing digital experiences that have a positive impact on people!
I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. I recently graduated from Scripps College, a liberal arts women's college, located in Claremont, CA. I received a B.A. in Cognitive Science, with a concentration in Computer Science and Design.
I've had a passion for art and design my entire life. Ever since I was little, I've loved drawing and painting. As I got older, I got more involved with photography and makeup. Now I've found a new passion- UX / UI Design.
DESIGN
Skills that help me design...
My Cognitive Science major helps me understand human interaction and processes throughout our daily lives. Psychology allows me to design experiences in order to evoke a certain response from the user. I am able to apply psychology principles to human interaction with the design.
I am able to understand the implications of my designs due to my proficiency in Python, CSS, HTML, and C++. This helps me work closely with developers and understand the technical side of my designs. This allows me to work closely with the developers and understand their own thought processes.
I have a range of valuable skills from being in many leadership positions throughout high school and college. I am an excellent communicator, collaborator, and leader. As a designer, I love to learn from others and find new and creative ways to problem solve.
